Walgreens resumes standard operating hours
Walgreens stores are getting back to some semblance of normal, but with added safety measures.
The company announced that, as of May 5, most of its stores nationwide are resuming standard operating hours.
Walgreens added that some locations, specifically those in tourist regions, downtown city centers, or markets with government-mandated curfews, will continue operating under the adjusted hours the company implemented in March. (Walgreens’ stores in California will resume standard operating hours beginning May 18 due to local regulations.)
Walgreens has deployed in-store safety measures for employees and customers, including enhanced cleaning regimens, social distancing protocols, plexiglass shields, hygiene guidance, face covers and providing wipes at the front of stores to clean shopping carts and baskets. Also, ongoing cleaning and sanitizing will continue to take place during operating hours.
