Walgreens, Sesame Street team up to support families of front-line workers
Walgreens is partnering with Sesame Street to launch a series of bilingual resources for families of essential workers.
As part of its “Caring for Each Other” initiative, the two have launched several videos targeted towards the children of such front-line workers as health care employees, grocery store workers, pharmacists and mail carriers, among others.
Since the end of April, Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind the TV series, has been rolling out pandemic-related resources to support families.
The materials being created for distribution, which were built with money and collaborative support from Walgreens and AT&T, include videos, apps, instructional worksheets, printable activities and online games that aim to help children express and manage their emotions as they and their families, as well as caregivers, stay healthy and adjust to a new normal.
