Walgreens is welcoming a new executive. Monica Reed has joined as vice president of Walgreens Health Centers strategy and operations.

Reed will be responsible for leading Walgreens Health Corners, which are dedicated in-store spaces where licensed clinicians can provide health services ranging from preventive care and wellness checks to assistance with managing chronic conditions. Reed also will drive Walgreens’ efforts to be a leader in retail, virtual and in-home healthcare services, the company said.

“With more than 22 years of healthcare experience, she is well suited for her new role,” Walgreens said. Her career includes leading clinical operations teams across commercial, Medicare and Medicaid, as well as supporting product development and design and sales.
