Winn-Dixie opens 4 new Florida locations

Winn-Dixie has expanded its footprint in a major way.

The chain, part of the Southeastern Grocers' family, is celebrating the grand opening of not just one, but four new Florida locations.

Located in Boynton Beach, Gainesville, Jacksonville and Lakewood Ranch communities, the stores are recognizing Veterans Day by offering an 11% discount for active duty and veteran customers.

Additionally, both Winn-Dixie and the SEG Gives Foundation are donating a combined $80,000 to veteran-related initiatives, including $25,000 to support local veteran organizations within the store’s communities, $30,000 to Folds of Honor to provide six scholarships to children of disabled and fallen service members, and an additional $25,000 to Folds of Honor through a partnership with Maxwell House, the company said.

Each new Winn-Dixie store offers shoppers fresh produce, high-quality meats and seafood, plant-based proteins made in store, specialty cheeses and fresh sushi, grab-and-go meals, a full-service meat department, a bakery, and the addition of LiveWell tags to help consumers make healthier food choices, the company said.
