Xiromed, Genzum unveil generic Naftin

Xiromed, in partnership with Genzum Life Sciences, is bringing out naftifine hydrochloride cream, 2%.

“Xiromed continues to execute on its growth plan to deliver quality generics to the U.S. market. The launch of naftifine cream further bolsters our existing topical product portfolio,” Narasimhan Mani, Xiromed CEO, said.

The medication, a topical antifungal, is the generic of Naftin.

“We are excited for the launch of naftifine hydrochloride cream, 2% in partnership with Xiromed to ensure patients will have greater access to a safe and affordable generic naftifine cream for their health needs,” Chris Achar, Genzum CEO, said.

Naftin cream and its generics had a market value of $4.1 million for the 12-month period ending December 2021, according to IQVIA.
