Zydus Cadila receives FDA blessing for 2 generics

Zydus Cadila has received the Food and Drug Administration’s clearance for two generics.

The first product is albuterol tablets in dosage strengths of 2 mg and 4 mg.

The product is the generic of Proventil tablets.

Albuterol is a bronchodilator, which helps open up the airways in your lungs to make it easier to breathe. This medicine is used to treat and to prevent bronchospasm.

Zydus Cadila also has obtained the FDA’s nod for solifenacin succinate tablets in dosage strengths of 5 mg and 10 mg.

The product is the generic of Vesicare tablets.

Solifenacin Succinate is a symptomatic treatment of urge incontinence and/or increased urinary frequency and urgency as may occur in patients with overactive bladder syndrome.

Both generic drugs will be manufactured at the group’s formulation manufacturing facility at the SEZ, Ahmedabad.
