“People often delay or skip essential treatment when they cannot get to a pharmacy, which can be detrimental to their overall health” said Rushil Desai, CEO of Aetna Better Health of Illinois. “By bringing this delivery capability to our members, we remove that barrier for some of our most under-resourced members — bringing the medications they need to their doorstep. Our free, same-day pharmacy delivery service will help our members effectively manage their care and adhere to necessary treatment plans prescribed by their doctor, enabling them to achieve their best health.”
Prescription medications will be dispensed and prepared by the CVS Pharmacy team. A local courier who has undergone background screening and special training will deliver the medications directly to members in as little as three hours. The member must be home to accept the delivery and must live within 15 miles of the pharmacy.

Members also can choose free one- or two-day delivery of eligible prescriptions if more convenient. Delivered via mail, members do not need to be home to collect the delivery and must live within 50 miles of the pharmacy.
