Amneal intros generic Decadron

Amneal is launching dexamethasone, in dosage strengths of 4 mg and 6 mg, following approval by the Food and Drug Administration.

Dexamethasone is the generic of Decadron.

It is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid steroid used to treat several medical conditions, including respiratory complications associated with COVID-19.

Dexamethasone tablets had a market value of roughly $63 million for the 12 months ended August 2021, according to IQVIA.
