Ascent’s protein products are reaching a wider range of consumers.

The Denver-based company announced that several of its offerings will be available to shoppers at select Kroger stores across the nation.

Products being carried at the retailer will include the Ascent Pre-Workout, Native Fuel Whey Protein and Recovery Water.

In the Recovery Water, consumers can expect to find 20 g of protein, no artificial ingredients, added electrolytes for hydration and only 100 calories. The fruit punch flavor, which is free of soy, gluten and rBST/rBGH, will be available at the retailer.

The beverage also is Informed Choice Certified, the company said.

When it comes to the Native Fuel Whey Protein, which contains 25 g of protein per scoop, 5.7 g of BCAAs and 2.7 g of naturally occurring leucine, it will be available in chocolate and vanilla bean flavors.

Last, but certainly not least, the Pre-Workout, which has 150 mg of caffeine sources from coffee fruit extract and 250 mg of electrolytes, will be available in the raspberry lemonade flavor at the retailer.

“Ascent has been growing steadily over the past four years thanks to a growing group of fitness-minded consumers realizing Ascent has the cleanest performance proteins on the market,” Paul Vraciu, the general manager of Ascent Protein said. “Now that the world's largest grocery retail chain is carrying Ascent, we are thrilled our products can help even more athletes push themselves to naturally improve athletic performance from pre-workout to post-workout.”
