Aurobindo obtains FDA approval for generic Colcrys

Colchicine tablets have a market value of $111 million for the 12 months ending November 2021, according to IQVIA.

Aurobindo has received the Food and Drug Administration’s stamp of approval for Colchicine tablets.

The product is the generic of Takeda’s Colcrys.

The medication is indicated in adults and children 4 years old or older for treatment of familial Mediterranean fever.
