Bacardi is making waves in the spiced rum segment.
To do just that, the brand is relaunching its Bacardi Spiced — just in time for fall.
The aged rum, which has been blended with natural flavors and spices, originally launched in 2011 as Oakheart, the company said.
In order to make its grand debut, in a new way, of course, Bacardi Spiced is launching with a refreshed look that channels the flavors of its predecessor — the essence of bourbon paired with notes of vanilla, almond and fruitiness.
“As the leader in the rum category with more than 158 years in the business, Bacardi is ready to re-stake its claim in the spiced rum segment,” Lisa Pfenning, vice president of Bacardi for North America said. “Consumers consistently turn to Bacardi for the latest in rum trends, and the spiced segment is no different. We've watched this category closely in recent years and see it as a massive opportunity for the brand, so we're very excited for consumers to trade up the competition for Bacardi Spiced.”
Bacardi Spiced is currently available for purchase in stores and online for the retail price of $12.99.
