Galderma’s Benzac spot treatment named Health’s acne treatment of the year

FT. WORTH, Texas — Galderma Laboratories on Tuesday announced that its Benzac Intensive Spot Treatment had been named HEALTH Magazine’s best acne treatment at the magazine’s annual Beauty Awards. HEALTH editors and beauty experts choose the winner of the award.

“We are thrilled that Benzac Intensive Spot Treatment has been named Best Acne Treatment by HEALTH magazine, in the product’s first year on the market,” Miles Harrison, VP and general manager of U.S. self medication at Galderma, said. “Benzac Intensive Spot Treatment offers teens and anyone else who experiences mild-to-moderate acne an effective treatment with ingredients that minimize irritation.”

The spot treatment uses salicylic acid, Indian sandalwood oil to soothe skin and onion extract to reduce redness, the company said. The spot treatment can be purchased as a standalone product or as part of a Benzax Complete Acne Solution regimen.
