ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Hada Labo Tokyo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask, a hydrating anti-aging sheet mask, has been named Product of the Year for 2015 in the anti-aging skin care category.
Product of the Year is a consumer-voted award for product innovation, where winners are backed by the votes of 40,000 consumers in a national representative survey conducted by research partner TNS, a global leader in consumer research.
"Nearly 50,000 new packaged goods products are introduced each year," stated Rich Fryling, managing director at Product of the Year USA. "The purpose of Product of the Year is to guide consumers to the best products in their market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation."
Product of the Year accepts entries each year from consumer packaged goods that demonstrate innovation and were launched within the previous year. Winners in categories such as food, beverages, personal care and household care are chosen through the TNS survey of 40,000 consumers.
"The true honor in being named Product of the Year comes from the fact that it's consumer-voted. Consumers are increasingly discerning and very well educated on the products in a crowded market, so their endorsement is invaluable to our brand. This award is a tribute to our creativity and passion for bringing high-impact innovation to the anti-aging skincare category," stated Katherine Tocheff, director of marketing and innovation for The Mentholatum Co.
"We have had an outstanding response from consumers since the introduction of the brand, and the Product of the Year Award distinction will give even more beauty shoppers confidence to try the Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask," added Jean Legros, VP sales and marketing for The Mentholatum Co.
The Hada Labo Tokyo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask is a 100% cotton sheet mask that drenches skin in a full bottle's worth of anti-aging serum to instantly boost hydration, smooth fine lines and visibly refresh skin in 10 minutes, the company stated. The mask, available at target.com, Ulta, ulta.com and Walgreens, retails at $15 for four masks.
