Helen of Troy acquires Infusium 23 hair care
EL PASO, Texas Helen of Troy has entered an agreement with Procter & Gamble to acquire the global Infusium 23 hair care business for an undisclosed cash purchase price.
The transaction is expected to close by March 31. Helen of Troy currently has a solid portfolio of hair care styling with its appliance and accessory business, and the acquisition of Infusium 23 will bolster its role as a comprehensive provider of hair care solutions for both consumers and styling professionals, the company explained.
According to Helen of Troy, the Infusium 23 business will be integrated into its Idelle Labs division, which currently includes such brands as Vitalis, Final Net, Vitapointe and Condition 3-in-1. It expects Infusium 23 will generate about $40 million in sales on an annualized basis with products that will be marketed into both retail and professional trade classes. It expects the acquisition to be accretive immediately.
