HRG outlines importance of front-end to pharmacy operations

2/28/2017

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Tom Boyer of Hamacher Resource Group has been invited to present a session about pharmacy layout, design and front-end merchandising principles to first-year students in the Pharmacy Practice program at Campbell University, in Buies Creek, N.C. on March 2, 2017, HRG announced Tuesday.

“We’re always happy to welcome Tom back to speak," stated Bob Cisneros, faculty member in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at the University. "Feedback from previous sessions illuminates the importance of exposing students to these concepts, as many of them don’t realize how a well-designed and merchandised front-end can have a measurable impact on the bottom line.”

Boyer, a 20-plus-year veteran of the retail consumer healthcare industry, director of national accounts and member of the owners group at HRG, will explain the importance of the front-end operations to the overall health of the business.

This is the eighth time Boyer has been asked to present to the pharmacy students at Campbell University. He will share tips on how to provide shoppers an in-store experience that builds loyalty and results in more frequent trips to the pharmacy, leading to higher front-end sales.

“I appreciate the relationship we’ve built with Campbell University and Dr. Cisneros that originated thanks to our client, Mutual Drug, and their connection to the University," Boyer said. "It’s rewarding to interact with the students and share the principles that will guide these potential future business owners and operators.”
