Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company implements HRG's monthly TEMPS Category Manager program

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company will be offering their independent pharmacy customers Hamacher Resource Group's monthly TEMPS Category Manager program. The regional drug wholesaler will be taking advantage of the merchandising portion of the program which includes category-specific planograms and assortment strategies and new item intelligence.

HRG’s Category Research and Analysis team reviews 23 HBW categories throughout the year to determine which products deserve space on the shelves of independent pharmacies. That information is the basis of TEMPS Category Manager, a tool that guides independents in choosing their product assortment, properly merchandising brands and includes in-store promotional materials to spotlight new items.



TEMPS contains the New Item Review, which shares products recently introduced and highlights those that meet HRG’s criteria for its proprietary Star Rating System. The program also includes HRG’s Never Outs item list of best-selling health, beauty and wellness products that stores should always have in stock to capitalize on sales.



Louisiana Wholesale Drug Company also requested HRG present a CE at their Stockholder’s Meeting, August 19-20, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Dave Wendland, VP strategic relations and member of the owners group at HRG will be presenting, “Sparking Creativity to Drive Growth.” The session will pinpoint habits that fuel creativity, offer strategies for creative problem solving and help pharmacists activate out-of-the-box idea generation.
