The Mentholatum Co. marks milestone

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. A global health-and-wellness company is celebrating 120 years of business.

The Mentholatum Co. is celebrating its 120th anniversary, growing and prospering from a small Midwest purveyor of soaps and toiletries into a global company with manufacturing plants in five locations around the globe and products that are marketed and sold in over 130 countries.

Mentholatum employs over 1,500 people worldwide; 225 employees are headquartered at the Orchard Park facility.

Today, Mentholatum’s core focus is on providing quality healthcare solutions for the treatment and prevention of conditions associated with skin care, pain relief and eye care. Its diverse portfolio of personal care items can be found in households around the world.  Our brands include Oxy® acne solutions, pHisoderm facial care, Softlips lip protection, Natural Ice lip protectant, Rohto eye drops, WellPatch pain relieving patches, Deep Heating Rub, Fletcher’s Laxative, Red Cross Toothache Medication, and Mentholatum Ointment.
