Pitbull releases Miami-inspired perfume

NEW YORK — Armando Christian Perez, better known as as the Pitbull, announced Monday the launch of his new scents for men and women, inspired by his hometown of Miami.


Pitbull Miami Man, mixed by Pitbull and Givaudan perfumer Caroline Sabas, features a citrus fougere scent with grapefruit, lemon and pink peppercorn top notes, heart notes of cardamom and apple, and base notes of cedarwood, sandalwood that blend into warm musks and amber.


Created by Pitbull and perfumer Steve DeMarcado of Fragrance Resources, Pitbull Miami Woman features a fruity, floral scent with casaba melon, strawberry passion fruit ice, Italian lemon and white peach top notes. The women’s perfume contains gardenia, blue lotus flower, jasmine sambac and orange blossom heart notes, in addition to Haitian vetiver and sandalwood base notes.


“I fell in love with Miami as a little kid,” Pitbull said. “I wanted to bottle the city's uniqueness in the Miami fragrances, so the world can fall in love the same way I did...305 till I die.”


Both perfumes are sold for a suggested retail price of $35/1.0 oz. and $55/3.4 oz. at Sears, Walmart and Perfumania.
