Report: Alberto-Culver to cut jobs

MELROSE PARK, Ill. Alberto-Culver is slashing 160 jobs and consolidating its facilities to streamline the company, according to an Associated Press report.

The layoffs are expected to be done by the end of June 2010.

According to the report, the company stated that "a significant portion" of the manufacturing done in Chatsworth, Calif., would be sent to other facilities. It also plans to consolidate its warehouse and offices in Chatsworth.
