12/16/2009

LONDON Unilever, whose personal care brands include Dove and Axe, has appointed Bristol-Myers Squibb CFO, Jean-Marc Huet, to serve as its CFO, according to published reports.

Bristol-Myers Squibb announced on Monday that Huet would leave the company at the end of the year, citing his desire to return to Europe.

As previously reported by Drug Store News, current Unilever CFO, James Lawrence, will leave the company at the end of the year. Lawrence, who joined the company in September 2007, will make himself available in the New Year to facilitate a smooth transition, the company stated.

"We are delighted to have attracted a candidate of Jean-Marc's talent and experience," Unilever CEO Paul Polman said.

"His background and expertise will be important in helping us realize the growth ambitions we have for the future," Polman added.
