RoC salutes actress Cheryl Hines' directorial debut
NEW YORK RoC skin care brand is honoring actress Cheryl Hines at the Hamptons Film Festival on Oct. 8 for her work on the film "Serious Moonlight."
This marks the brand's second consecutive partnership with the Hamptons Film Festival, and this year the brand is furthering its support of women in film by elevating the RoC "Gold Standard Award for Feature Female Director" to an official category of entry at the festival.
Hines, who will receive a $5,000 endowment for her next project, is best known for her role as Larry David's wife on the HBO hit "Curb Your Enthusiasm." "Serious Moonlight" marks her directorial debut.
"We are delighted to partner with the Hamptons International Film Festival to award Cheryl Hines with the 'Gold Standard Award for Feature Female Director,'" stated RoC group product director, Leslie Dreibelbis. 'Cheryl's talent and ambition is inspiring to women everywhere."
The RoC Skincare "Gold Standard Award for Female Feature Director" aims to recognized a female filmmaker who's excelled in the film industry, a field in which they are currently underrepresented, as only 7% of directors are women.
