Sun Bum, the quirky personal care brand, has a new parent company.
S.C. Johnson announced that it signed an agreement to acquire the brand, which creates products in the sun protection, hair care and lip care categories.
In addition, the acquisition also is set to include the Baby Bum collection of sun protection and baby care products, the companies said.
"The Sun Bum brand is a welcome addition to our portfolio of trusted products," Fisk Johnson, chairman and CEO of SC Johnson said. "It also expands our robust selection of fast-growing, on-trend products like Babyganics, Method, Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day and Caldrea that appeal to consumers and their families."
As S.C. Johnson is a private company, it does not disclose details regarding financial or business transactions, though the company said that it expects the deal to be finalized and subject to United States regulatory approval.
Sun Bum and Baby Bum products can be found on the company's website, as well as Target and other locations via a store locator.
