HALIFAX, Nova Scotia — Skinfix on Monday announced the launch of its Diabetic Relief Skincare Regimen — just in time for National Diabetes Awareness Month — to assist the one-third of diabetes patients the American Diabetes Association says develop a skin problem.
"The skin health needs of someone living with diabetes are very different than someone who suffers from general dry skin," Skinfix president Amy Gordinier-Regan said. "As the experts in healing dry and irritated skin, we created a safe, gentle and natural body skincare regimen that will make a difference in the overall skin health of people living with diabetes."
The diabetes regimen includes Skinfix’s Moisturizing Body Wash ($19.99), Daily Relief Lotion ($19.99), Hand Relief Cream ($15.99), and Healing Foot and Leg Balm ($17.99). The lotion and body wash contain coconut and jojoba oils, among others, and the hand cream and lotion are aimed at repairing cracked skin that results from poor circulation or diabetes.
The products are currently on sale at Rite Aid and Skinfix.com
