Trilogy adds Light Blend rosehip oil, Rosapene Radiance Serum

3/24/2017

AUCKLAND, New Zealand — Natural skin care company Trilogy recently introduced two products to grow its portfolio of rosehip oil-based products, rosehip oil Light Blend and Rosapene Radiance Serum.

The oil — meant to regulate the skin’s oil production to reduce fine lines and wrinkles — is a lighter formulation of the company’s signature rosehip oil, designed for oily and combination skin, as well as for people in hot and humid climates.  It includes certified organic rosehip oil, jojoba seed oil and grapeseed oil.

“When we launched our Certified Organic Rosehip Oil in 2002 it was the first cosmetic certified organic rosehip oil to market. I don’t think we realized what an impact it was going to have,” Trilogy global in-house beauty expert Corinne Morley said. “Despite the plethora of brands which have since followed, we’re very proud to have been at the forefront of the rosehip revolution and are excited to introduce to the world the start of a new era.”

The company also is introducing its first serum in the Trilogy Rosehip range, incorporating its proprietary Rosapene antioxidant complex — a mixture of organic rosehip and cranberry seed oils, and antioxidants from tomato and acai seed oils — with sea algae and aloe vera. The serum is designed to be able to be worn under makeup, either alone or beneath a moisturizer.

“Antioxidants help protect the skin against free radicals by neutralizing and preventing them from attacking skin cells,” Morley said. “Choosing skincare with high antioxidant content ensures that the skin receives its own supply, as the body absorbs most antioxidants derived from a diet source before they can reach the outer skin layer.”

Both the serum and the rosehip oil come in 30-ml bottles and retail for $44. The company currently sells at Whole Foods nationwide, as well as through Credo Beauty.
