Vaseline introduces new lotion

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. Vaseline, a Unilever brand, has developed the new Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 lotion, which it is positioning as the only lotion that delivers "superior" moisture across all surface layers of the skin.

According to the company, the lotion, which is launching late September, delivers two times more moisture than leading everyday lotions and is the first lotion that can infuse and suspect moisture into each layer of the stratum corneum for superior moisture.

Vaseline is supporting the launch of Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 through in-store marketing initiatives at key retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, CVS and Walgreens. The marketing plan will also include beauty counter displays, in-store signage and floor displays, instant redeemable coupons, register rewards and support on retailers' Web sites. These programs kicked off in early September and will continue to roll out through the end of 2009 extending into 2010.

The Vaseline Sheer Infusion with Stratys-3 includes three variants: Botanical Blend, Mineral Renewal and Vitamin Burst. The suggested retail price is $6.25 for 6.8 ounces and $8.99 for 13.5 ounces.
