Blake’s Hard Cider is revamping its Lite Cider line with new flavor additions.
New to the Armada, Mich.-based company’s portfolio is the mimosa, strawberry-kiwi and melon flavors, which join the previously launched apple option.
The melon variety’s flavor profile contains sweet notes of honeydew melon and dessert apples; strawberry-kiwi contains a hint of sweetness of strawberries and a tart flavor from the kiwi; and the mimosa option features champagne bubbles and citrus orange notes.
Featuring 5% ABV, 1 g of sugar, and 100 calories, the beverages are all-natural, free of gluten, and made from a five-apple blend of fresh-pressed Michigan apples that have been grown and harvested on Blake’s orchard, the company said.
“Last year was our first year in this category and sales exceeded expectations. Blake's fans appreciated an alternative to hard seltzer and a lower calorie offering. Our team created some unique recipes for this generation of Lite Cider,” Andrew Blake, owner of BHC said. “In these unusual times, people appreciate authenticity. We are surrounded by fresh fruit here at the farm and it's grown, created and packaged at our orchard.”
Blake’s Lite Ciders are available in a four-flavor variety 12-pack throughout the company’s 15 state footprint at major independent stores and grocery chains.
