Bashas,’ Shamrock Farms promote breast cancer awareness

PHOENIX Bashas’ food stores and Shamrock Farms dairy producers have teamed to support the City of Hope breast cancer research center by selling reusable pink shopping bags, paper pink ribbons and signature City of Hope pins at all stores in Bashas’ network.

The pink reusable shopping bags retail for $1.49. Bashas has said that 100 percent of the sales of the bags will go to City of Hope. The customizable paper ribbons sell for $1, and starting Oct. 6, purchase City of Hope pins will be available for $2 each.

Bashas’ has set a goal of raising $50,000 for City of Hope efforts, and expects $37,250 to come from the sale of the pink reusable bags.

Bashas’ food network covers more than 160 Bashas,’ AJ’s Fine Foods, Ike’s Farmers Market, and Food City stores in Arizona. More than 65 Bashas’ and Food City locations also have in-store pharmacies.
