Bazooka creates ‘Minions’-inspired candy line

NEW YORK — Bazooka Candy Brands will partner with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment for a limited-edition, “Minions”-branded candy line for the company’s largest merchandising program ever.



The movie, which opened July 10, has grossed over $400 million worldwide.



“Minions”-themed wraps will appear on Ring Pops, Ring Pop Gummies, Juicy Drop Pops, Jumbo Push Pops and Baby Bottle Pops.



The new candy line includes the following flavors:




  • Baby Bottle Pop 1.1oz Strawberry ($1.39-$1.69)


  • Juicy Drop Pop .92oz Knock-Out Punch ($1.59-$1.99)


  • Jumbo Push Pop 1.06oz Strawberry ($1.39-$1.79)


  • Ring Pop .50oz Strawberry ($0.69-$0.89)


  • Ring Pop Gummies 1.7oz assorted flavors (strawberry, blue raspberry, cherry, watermelon) ($1.01-$1.24)



    The program is projected to drive unit lifts around 87% with quick sell-though on merchandisers that include Juicy Drop Pops, Jumbo Push Pops and Baby Bottle Pops.
