Beyond Meat’s plant-based sausage hits retail shelves
Fans of Beyond Meat can now find something new from the brand in the meat case at stores across the country.
The El Segundo, Calif.-based company announced that its plant-based sausage, Beyond Sausage, which looks, sizzles and satisfies like pork but comes with plant-based meat benefits, can now be found at over 4,000 grocery stores.
“The consumer reaction to Beyond Sausage has been very positive, with many retailers struggling to keep up with demand. In response, we’ve been increasing production and distribution of Beyond Sausage, which now sees availability at a number of major retailers, making it easier than ever for shoppers to find Beyond Sausage in their local meat case,” Chuck Muth, the chief growth officer at Beyond Meat, said.
Those on the West Coast can find the product at Albertsons in SoCal, Bristol Farms, Lazy Acres, Nugget Market, Pavilions, Ralphs, Safeway in NorCal, Safeway and Albertsons in Southwest Phoenix and Nevada, Sprouts, Safeway and Albertsons in Portland, Stater Bros, Vons and Whole Foods Market.
Midwesterners can hit up Fresh Thyme, Heinen’s, Hy-Vee, Jewel-Osco, Kroger, Mariano’s, Plum Market and Whole Foods.
In the Southwest, shoppers can find the item at Central Market, Publix and Whole Foods.
Lastly, East Coasters can shop at their local Acme, Balducci’s, Big Y, Fairway Markets, Giant Carlisle, Giant Eagle, Giant Landover, Ingles, Key Foods, Kings Food Markets, Lowes, Prcie Chopper, Shaw’s, Shop-Rite, Tops Friendly Markets and Whole Foods for the Beyond Sausage.
