Bush's aims to disrupt the hummus category

5/10/2016

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- One of America's biggest vegetable brands is looking to disrupt the hummus category with a DIY product called Hummus Made Easy.

BUSH'S Hummus Made Easy is the first-in-market product that allows consumers to prepare hummus at home in three easy steps. Consumers can now create their own, unique flavors without the hassle of following a recipe, collecting all the needed ingredients or throwing out half-eaten containers of ready-to-eat hummus that went bad in the refrigerator.

"Research shows that an increasing number of consumers are turning to hummus as they seek out more healthy and delicious snack options," said Michael Morris, senior brand manager, Bush Brothers & Company. "They believe that making hummus at home is fresher and healthier, but finding the time and ingredients can be difficult. With BUSH'S Hummus Made Easy, making customized, homemade hummus is as easy as 1-2-3."

To make hummus with Hummus Made Easy, all that is required is to pour a can of drained and rinsed BUSH'S Garbanzo or Black Beans with a pouch of BUSH'S Hummus Made Easy into a high-speed blender or food processor and blend.

Now available in the bean aisle of leading retailers nationwide, BUSH'S Hummus Made Easy comes in three flavors: Classic, Southwest Black Bean and Roasted Red Pepper.
