CandyCrate.com lists top Halloween treats among kids
HESPERIA, Calif. CandyCrate.com found that kids enjoy traditional candy for the trick-or-treating season, and also found that such specialty candies as wax lips and candy necklaces have gained momentum.
Just in time for Halloween, CandyCrate.com unveiled the top treats among children, with 84% of kids saying that candy and gum are their favorites. The top 10 traditional Halloween candy list included:
- Lollipops
- Tootsie rolls/pops
- Smarties
- Bubblegum
- "Fun-size" chocolates (with Reese's peanut butter cups as the favorite)
- Pixy Stix
- Sweetarts
- Starburst
- Caramel candy
- Candy corn
Specialty candies that made the top 10 were:
- Wax lips/fangs
- Candy necklaces
- Chocolate or gummy body parts
- Cry Babies sour gum
- Pop Rocks Pumpkin Patch orange
- Caramel apple pops
- Candy eyeballs
- Zotz Fizz candy
