Cheez-It, House Wine launch pairing box

What’s better than wine and cheese? A House Wine and Cheez-It collaboration.

The two companies have partnered together to launch a limited-edition product that is one part Original Red Blend of House Wine and one part Original Cheez-It.

Looking to pair the cheesy and crunchy flavors of the snack with red currant aromas, the House Wine + Cheez-It box can be brought to any and all summer activities, the companies said.

"We are thrilled to partner with House Wine to combine their expertise and America's favorite 100% real cheese snack into one portable box," said Jeff Delonis, senior marketing director at Kellogg's U.S. snacks division, said. "Many of our fans were already exploring pairing different wines with Cheez-It. Just like wine and cheese, you can pair the real cheese inside each Cheez-It flavor with the perfect wine complement, and find a pair to enjoy all summer long."

In addition, both brands worked together to create such custom pairings for a wide range of tastes as Original & Red Blend, White Cheddar & Rosé and Extra Toast & Sauvignon Blanc, among others.

"We make wines for people to enjoy anytime and anyplace — just like Cheez-It," winemaker Hal Landvoigt said. "I create wines that run the spectrum of flavor, from crisp and bright to savory and spicy. From there, I looked for combinations that complement the real cheese found in each flavor of Cheez-It to make the perfect pairing."
