Cheez-It Snap’d hits retail shelves

5/7/2019
Cheez-It’s latest innovation — Snap’d has debuted on retail shelves.

The thin, munchable snack is made with real cheese both inside and out, and available in four varieties, the Battle Creek, Mich.-based company said.

To celebrate the snack’s launch, the brand has stashed a bunker full of Snap’d somewhere in the United States and is asking consumers to find the location in order to secure a year’s supply of the snack.

In addition, the individual who finds the bunker can also enjoy a yearlong streaming service subscription and a flat-screen television among other prizes.

"Our fans love a great snack and Cheez-It Snap'd offers them a completely new experience," Jeff Delonis, the senior director of marketing for Cheez-It, said. "So thin and crispy, the unique texture and distinct flavors make it different from any other Cheez-It offering—and any other snack out there! After seeing the snack fly off shelves, we wanted to ensure Cheez-it Snap'd were kept safe for our biggest cheese-loving fans."

Shoppers can pick up Cheez-It Snap’d in cheddar sour cream and onion, jalapeño jack, double cheese, and white cheddar and bacon varieties wherever the brand’s products are currently sold.

Those interested in finding the bunker can begin looking for clues on the brands Twitter account beginning May 14.
