Columbus makes its salami easier to take on-the-go

Columbus is giving the snacking game a whole new look.

The Hayward, Calif.-based company unveiled new additions to its salami and cheese trays and salami snacks line, which contain the products in snack-portioned packaging.

“Innovation drives our company's growth, and snacks have played a large role in that growth since 2016,” Lauren Keller, senior brand manager at Columbus, said. “Since then, The Columbus brand has grown 18%. And we always keep to our San Francisco heritage and love for craft meats.”

Each of the brand’s recently launched salami snacks are made with pork that’s raised without antibiotics and contains no added nitrates except for those naturally occurring in culture celery juice powder, the company said.

The brand’s newly launched varieties include the Italian Dry Salame paired with White Cheddar Cheese, Genoa Salame paired with Provolone Cheese and Pepperoni paired with Fontina Cheese.

In addition, new varieties have been added to the grab-and-go collection, which now includes the Original Italian Dry Salame, Genoa Salame, Pork Raised without Antibiotics Ever Uncured Dry Salame and Pork Raised without Antibiotics Ever Uncured Pepperoni.

Columbus’ salami and cheese trays and salami snacks can be found in the deli section’s grab-and-go aisle in grocery stores across the nation.
