Disney plans to sell fruits with help from Mickey
LOS ANGELES CNN recently reported that a unit of the Walt Disney Co. is planning to sell a line of fruits and vegetables appealing to children starting this fall. With sales help from its popular theme park characters—Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy—Disney Consumer Products said Friday is will “launch a line of products called Disney Garden.”
Among the new items are Mickey-shaped snack trays featuring celery, peanut butter and raisin or apple, cheese and cracker combinations. Other products will offer servings of honey orange carrot coins, cheesy broccoli bites and miniature pears, plumbs and oranges.
