Edy's takes on a Midwest favorite

2/24/2015

OAKLAND, Calif. — Edy's Ice Cream, a brand from Nestlé, will bring a new innovation to the freezer aisle with its new Frozen Custard product.

The extra creamy and thick frozen custard is beginning to grow more popular outside of its Midwest roots, the brand said. Consumers will be able to choose from six flavors: Old Fashioned Vanilla; Chocolate Malt; Mint Cookies N'Cream; Peanut Butter Pie; Salted Caramel Pretzel; and Snickerdoodle.

"Frozen custard is traditionally viewed as a treat that the families would leave their homes to enjoy. We're thrilled to be able to bring this beloved dessert into freezers across the country for families to enjoy in the comfort of their homes," shared Jason Merideth, Edy's Ice Cream brand manager. "The innovation that went into creating the perfect experience of classic custard flavors and high quality, wholesome ingredients with no artificial colors or flavors is something our brand is proud to stand by."

Edy's Frozen Custard will be available in 32-oz. cartons for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $5.49 beginning this month.
