Elmhurst 1925 debuts Hemp Creamer, Unsweetened Milked Oats

3/20/2019
There’s a new way to get a daily dose of nut and grain milk.

Elmhurst 1925 is innovating the category by launching its new Original Unsweetened Hemp Creamer and Unsweetened Milk Oats products.

“Elmhurst 1925 is passionate about leading the plant-based milk category with on-trend innovation, and given the explosive growth of the hemp category, we’re excited to announce the industry’s first hemp creamer,” Peter Truby, the vice president of marketing at Elmhurst said. “Crafted simply with just four ingredients, including real hemp cream made from hemp seeds grown in the United States, Original Unsweetened Hemp Creamer is the first in a line of on-trend varieties we plan to introduce this year.”

The Elma, N.Y.-based brand’s Unsweetened Hemp Creamer is crafted with real hemp cream, does not contain any added sugar, gums or oils, and has a healthy ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids per serving, the company said.

In addition, the Unsweetened Milk Oats was crafted to meet consumer demand, is made with just oats, water and salt also is free of added gums or oil and contains 20 g of whole grains per serving. It also is approved by the Whole Grains Council.

Like all other Elmhurst 1925 products, both new launches are crafted through a HydroRelease method, which uses just water to separate the components of nut, grain or seed before reassembling them as a beverage-ready emulsion.

The Original Unsweetened Hemp Creamer will be available in a 16-oz. carton that retails for $4.49, and the Unsweetened Milk Oats in a 32-oz. carton for $5.99. Both beverages along with other offerings from the brand can be found at such retailers as Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Bristol Farms, Gelson’s, Publix, Fairway and Shaws among others.
