Food City brings back its fuel/pharmacy bucks program

ABINGDON, Va. Food City has brought back its fuel/pharmacy bucks loyalty program, the company said.

Customers can earn rewards by signing up for the loyalty card and for every $10 that is spent on Food City private label purchases or exclusive brand selections in one trip, they will receive $1 fuel/pharmacy as a reward. Shoppers also receive bonus fuel/pharmacy bucks every time they buy “bonus items” asdvertised in Food City’s circulars.

K-VA-T president and chief executive officer, Steven Smith, told local media that the program is aimed at helping working families cover rising fuel and grocery expenses.

The current fuel/pharmacy bucks program runs through Jan. 3, 2009.
