With help from spokesman, Stride adds Whitemint flavor to lineup

EAST HANOVER, N.J. — Stride spokesman and sports icon Shaun White has helped the gum brand boost its portfolio with a new product.


New Stride Whitemint marks the brand's first-ever custom-designed, custom-created pack, the company said, adding that White helped select the intense mint flavor and was involved in the creation of the gum's package graphics.


As the brand's spokesman, White will participate in a Stride Whitemint TV ad spot this fall, as well as a variety of promotional activities related to the new gum.


Stride Whitemint will be rolled out now through September at stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1.49.


"Shaun White embodies what Stride Gum is all about," said Maurice Herrera, senior director of U.S. gum at Kraft Foods. "He's authentic, unexpected and groundbreaking, and we're thrilled to have him representing us and being a part of this new product."
