Hiland Dairy intros 3 new flavors, revamped look

Hiland Dairy is welcoming the summer by introducing three new flavors that are made with milk sourced from farmers.

Available in 48-oz. and 16-oz. containers, the new launches from the Springfield, M.O.-based company include:

  • The Hiland Time Traveler, which contains French silk ice cream spun with marshmallow bonbons, chocolate flakes and fudge sauce;

  • Caramel Waffle Cone, which features caramel ice cream, milk chocolate swirls and fudge-covered waffle cone pieces; and

  • Cherry Chocolate Chunk, which has cherry-flavored ice cream, pieces of real cherries and chocolate chunks.

In addition to introducing consumers to new flavors, the brand also is debuting brand new packaging that features crisp graphics and a light blue background. The revamped look is part of the company’s response to consumers and grocers who have request more food label transparency and less packaging waste.

“The new packages align with our improved transparency in food labeling, which we began implementing earlier this year with double labels on our milk products,” Rick Beaman, vice president of Hiland Dairy, said. “We also wanted our ice cream packaging to create less consumer waste in landfills, and that's part of our commitment to sustainability and preserving the planet for future generations, and, as we celebrate 80 years of Hiland Dairy, we thought a new ice cream package would help celebrate our longevity.”
