Instantly Shelf Score finds sweet and spicy most appealing for August snack-goers

9/11/2015

SAN FRANCISCO - Over the course of August, popular snack brands riffed on sweet and spicy flavors, incorporating either - or both - into their products. Pepperidge Farm introduced cookies with brown butter rum while Pringles released a jalapeno bacon flavor, and Nature Valley tried both with sweet and spicy chili dark chocolate bars.

August also brought a lot of brands offering new twists on their classic offerings, like Oreo's release of the Thins line, Progesso's new Stew flavors and Chex's introduction of Clusters.
