NEW YORK — Dove, a brand from Mars Chocolate North America, showed off its new line of Dove Fruit confections in New York City's Grand Central Terminal. Passersby were able to sample the new product and also got a chance to interact with celebrated, award-winning executive chef Alex Guarnaschelli.
The new line brings to consumers the taste of Dove's dark chocolate and combines it with cranberry, cherry and blueberry, which the company said are the top-selling fruits on the market currently.
"We're excited to add this real-fruit snacking option to the Dove Chocolate family," said Kerry Cavanaugh, director at the Dove brand. "We know snackers and chocolate lovers have been clamoring for something like this. In fact, dark chocolate is the fastest growing category in confections and fruit is the fastest growing snacking category, so it's the perfect combination and the perfect time."
Dove Fruit can be purchased in two different sizes: 2.83-ounces for a suggested retail price of $1.99-$2.59; and 6.0 ounces for a SRP of $3.59-$4.79. Select warehouse stores carry a special 26-ounce bag for a SRP of $10.89.
