Just Crack an Egg adds new scrambled varieties

5/1/2019
For those who have to take their breakfast on the go, there are new ways to indulge in Just Crack an Egg.

The brand, which is part of the Kraft Heinz portfolio, unveiled three new additions to its lineup — veggie, protein packed and southwest style.

Each container of the product contains such ingredients as Oscar Mayer meat, Kraft Natural Cheese, Ore-Ida potatoes, and diced vegetables in an individual serving size, the company said.

Featured in the new launches from Just Crack an Egg are:

  • Veggie, which contains mushrooms, onions, potatoes, red peppers, sharp white cheddar, and mild cheddar cheese;

  • Protein packed, which has uncured bacon, pork sausage and sharp cheddar cheese; and

  • Southwest style, which features chorizo, Monterey jack cheese, potatoes, tomatoes, green and red bell peppers, jalapeño peppers and onion.

“Consumers are demanding more of their breakfast. We know people are looking for something that’s easy to prepare but also satisfies their personal breakfast desires,” Matt Riezman, the associate director of marketing for Just Crack an Egg, said. “Our four original varieties satisfy people’s desire for a convenient, hot breakfast on a weekday that reminds them of something they only had on the weekend. Now, we’re expanding the line to include meatless options, incorporate spicy flavors and provide an option for people looking for more protein.”

Shoppers can find Just Crack an Egg products — including the three new launches — in the egg section of retailers nationwide for the suggested retail price of $2.49 per cup.
