8/4/2015

WATERBURY, Vt. — Specialty coffee company Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. on Tuesday introduced Green Mountain Coffee Reserve Colombia Tres Bourbon, an ultra-premium variety of coffee plant drawn from Colombia’s Caicedonia mountain range.

The new product features a new design for Keurig Green Mountain’s Reserve collection, including new branding and packaging, according to the company.

“The Green Mountain Coffee Reserve collection offers a truly unique opportunity for consumers to try rare and exotic coffee,” said Lindsey Bolger, SVP of the coffee sourcing excellence division at Multisite Procurement Green Coffee of Keurig Trading Sàrl, Keurig’s Swiss green coffee bean procurement company. “The addition of Colombia Tres Bourbon reinforces the Green Mountain Coffee brand’s continued commitment to source the best and highest quality coffee from around the globe for an unrivaled coffee experience.”

Green Mountain Coffee Colombia Tres Bourbon combines the following varieties of bourbon:

  • Red Bourbon, which lends syrupy sweetness;

  • Yellow Bourbon, which infuses acidity and fruit notes; and

  • Tekisik Bourbon, which contains sweet dried fruit notes through a sun-dried “honey process” fermentation.
