Kind debuts Kind Kids, expands product lineup

By Gisselle Gaitan - 03/15/2018
Kind is expanding its product portfolio in a big way. The New York City-based snacking company has announced the launch of three new product innovations and the addition of several flavors to some of its already established line of products.

The first major new innovation is targeted towards children. The brand will be launching Kind Kids, a line of chewy granola bars that provide a-half serving of whole grains from oats, sorghum and quinoa. Three flavors will be available to consumers — chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate chip and honey oat — when the snack hits shelves in May. The bars contain no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives, are Non-GMO Project Verified and will come in packs of six that will retail for $3.49 to $3.99.

The children's snack bars aren’t the only new product launch to come from the brand. Two additional products for a slightly older demographic also will make their debut:

  • Kind Protein features such ingredients as chocolate, caramel, white chocolate and peanut butter blended with whole nuts and 12 g of protein; and

  • Dark Chocolate Pressed by Kind combines pressed fruit and dark chocolate together as a way for consumers to add one serving of fruit to their daily routine. Thr product contains 1 g of sugar and fiber.

Three additional offerings will be added to the company’s established line of other products include:

  • Kind Breakfast Protein adds peanut butter banana dark chocolate to the lineup of products, which are soft-baked with a crispy outside. Each pack has two bars that contain one full serving of whole grains;

  • Kind Healthy Grains adds an almond butter dark chocolate flavor, which is baked with five super grains and provides one full serving of whole grains; and

  • Kind Healthy Grains Clusters introduces almond butter whole grains, which offers 10 g of protein, 100% whole grains and a blend of oat, millet, buckwheat, amaranth and quinoa.

Further product information will be available on Kind's website.
