New Frontier Foods makes a splash with latest product line

BURLINGAME, Calif. — New Frontier Foods is bringing a new seaweed product to the store shelves in the form of Ocean's Halo Seaweed Snacks. The consumable sheets are available in three flavors: Sea Salt, Texas BBQ and Sriracha. 


The company says the snack is a great source of vitamin B-12 and iodine and also contain healthier oils and lower sodium content than other seaweed snacks.


"We are thrilled to offer our next full product line," said Mike Shim, co-founder of Ocean's Halo. "Ocean's Halo Seaweed Snacks offer a whole new experience and differentiation from other seaweed sheets in the market with new exciting flavors, unique packaging and contributing 2% of profits to children's education through the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We also offer a unique retail merchandising option with our Family Pack, as well as the by the unit."


Consumers can find the product in 41 Norther California Whole Foods locations. In total, Ocean’s Halo is stocked in 150 Whole Foods stores across the Midwest, Northeast and North Atlantic, as well as several locations in Western Canada, the company said. Shoppers can head to the brand’s retail locator page to see if the product is stocked in their area. 


New Frontier Foods was founded in 2011. The company’s Ocean’s Halo Seaweed Chips was the first product from the company and is currently available at Amazon.com and at 2,000 retailers across the United States and Canada.
