PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Post wants to help Americans maintain healthy digestive systems with the introduction of Great Grains Digestive Blend cereals, the company announced.
"Research shows that 9-out-of-10 Americans are not getting enough fiber in their diets," Mark Izzo, VP research, development and innovations at Post Foods, said. "We developed Great Grains Digestive Blend cereals with fiber, active cultures and more than 85% of the daily recommended amount of whole grains per serving – three key ingredients to help support digestive health and help people feel more balanced from the inside out."
The cereals will come in two varieties:
Great Grains Digestive Blend Berry Medley includes active cultures, oat clusters and is made from whole grain barley, multi-grain flakes and berry juice. A once-cup serving provides 7 g of fiber, as well as iron and 43 g of whole grain.
Great Grains Digestive Blend Vanilla Graham contains flaxseed and active cultures, as well as whole grains and fiber from wheat and barley, rolled oats, multi-grain flakes and clusters. This variety also packs 7 g of fiber, as well as iron and 41 g of whole grains per serving.
