Red Vines launches California Collection ahead of multi-city tour

SAN FRANCISCO — Ahead of National Licorice Day on April 12, the American Licorice Company has introduced a new addition to its Red Vines product line. The Red Vines California Collection features seven varieties of the brand’s licorice pieces, and the company is planning to kick off a statewide tour to support the launch. 


 


The collection of varieties includes the Red Vines’ Black Licorice Twists, Original Red Twists, Black Licorice Bites, Original Red Bites, Super Ropes, Original Red Bars and Superstrings. The tour to support the California Collection will launch April 12 in San Francisco and include such cities as Santa Cruz, Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange County, and it will reach Indio on April 28, where it will stay for three days at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival for a three-day experiential display.


 


“Red Vines candy has been made in California for over 90 years,” Red Vines assistant brand manager Ingrid Barrientos said. “We created the California Collection to share our heritage of quality and flavor with our loyal fans in a one-of-a-kind package that captures the essence of the California mindset. Launching the collection with a California tour gives us the opportunity to meet our fans face-to-face and celebrate the California lifestyle that has helped to make Red Vines the best-selling licorice in the West.”
