Silk's Oat Yeah yogurt alternative shakes up dairy aisle

Silk is continuing to change the way consumers consume their dairy alternatives.

After previously unveiling its Oat Yeah line of oat milk, the Broomfield, Colo.-based company is continuing to expand the collection by introducing adding a yogurt alternative to the line.

By using a creamy oatmilk base to create the Oat Yeah Oatmilk Yogurt Alternative, the consumable product is able to combine gluten-free oats with live and active cultures to create the yogurt, the company said.

"Creating a yogurt alternative was the natural next step after our well-received Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilk beverage launch earlier this year," Joshua Cook, the brand manager of plant-based yogurt for Silk, said. "Oat Yeah Oatmilk Yogurt Alternatives are a tasty option for any person looking to make progress toward their health and wellness goals — whether they have specific dietary needs or are simply looking to try something new."

Available in four flavors – vanilla, mixed berry, strawberry and mango — each of the brand new launches are also dairy-free, Vegan Action Certified, nut-free, Non-GMO Project Verified, and soy-free, the company said.

The brand new Oatmilk Yogurt Alternatives from Silk are now available in grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1.89 per 5.3-oz. cup.
