Tolerant revamps its plant-based pastas

1/16/2019
Tolerant Foods, a brand focused on the creation of organic chickpea and lentil plant-based pastas, has announced the reformulation of its products.

The Chicago-based company’s Organic Chickpea pasta is now made with 100% organic chickpeas and contains 20 g of protein and 11 g of fiber per 3.5-oz. portion.

The brand also is relaunching its single-ingredient Organic Green Lentil and Organic Red Lentil pasta, which coincides with its new mission to provide simply genuine food made from plants.

"Tolerant's goal is to make great tasting, plant-based foods that are accessible to everyone despite food intolerances or dietary restrictions," Tolerant's CEO Shawn Pinsky said. "Tolerant is dedicated to providing delicious, naturally nutritious foods that support healthy lifestyles. This past year, we've worked closely with our facility in Italy to improve product quality by offering products with only 100% organic legume or chickpea flour — no other blends, fillers or additives — at the same price as conventional plant-based pastas."

Tolerant’s line of pastas are low in sugar, high in fiber, certified gluten-free, Non-GMO, organic, vegan and kosher.

The brand’s products will be available for purchase on its website, on Amazon and at such major retailers as Whole Foods and Sprouts Farmers Market in May.
